Dear Serra Parents:

We are just one week away from our annual Fund A Dream Luncheon on Wednesday, March 24! This year, we are delighted to welcome keynote speakers Peter Barsocchini ’70, the creator of Disney’s High School Musical series; and Marquis Jones ’08, a Fund A Dream success story. This luncheon raises vital funds for our financial aid program for families who are unable to afford the full cost of a Serra education. The event will be held at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club. Seating is limited, so be sure to get your reservation in by Monday, March 22. You can also register online by CLICKING HERE. Don’t miss this great Serra community event. Go Padres!

From Campus Ministry

For the entire season of Lent, the Serra High School community will be doing a number of things for our brothers and sisters in Haiti who continue to try to put their lives back together after a tragic earthquake struck the capital city of Port au Prince on January 12.  The three themes of Lent will guide us:  prayer, fasting and almsgiving. We are also participating in a donation drive.  We are asking for the following donations, which can be turned in either to your child’s homeroom or directly to Campus Ministry anytime during Lent: Large plastic Tupperware bins (in which to ship the supplies), sheets, towels, lightly used summer weight clothing and footwear (adult and child), soap, shampoo, Neosporin, lice shampoo, anti fungal medication, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cough medicine, eye drops, anti-diarrheal medicine, Tylenol/Advil, lightly-used sports equipment (baseball, soccer and basketball only, please). Thank you in advance for your support!  We trust that it will allow all of us to do at least a small part in the global effort to assist our sisters and brothers in Haiti.

Youth Lenten Talk

Serra students are invited to a Youth Lenten Talk and spaghetti dinner at St. Catherine of Sienna in Burlingame on Thursday, March 25 at 6 p.m. The topic will be "Lent: What it Means to My Christian Faith." Please click on following link for more information: Youth Lenten Talk
