Serra offers Classroom Driver Education during the school year, as well as during Summer School.

This course satisfies the classroom portion of the permit process required by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. The session prepares students for obtaining their driver’s permit. 

Consider the benefits of taking a teacher-instructed course rather than an online course:

• Experienced instructor who will provide insightful tips and techniques, clarify information, answer questions, and challenge students to think critically about becoming safe, responsible drivers

• Thorough coverage of the various aspects of driving and driver accountability

• In-depth class discussions that delve into laws, practices, consequences, and more

• Video support materials

• DMV Practice Tests

• Consistently high pass rate on DMV driver test 

Online learning is an excellent alternative for may subjects, but with such a serious skill on the line, the time and effort of classroom-based instruction in driver education may outweigh the low cost and conenince of onlin education.
