ARC Associate

To assist the Academic Resource Director in the implementation of the Academic Resource Program at Junipero Serra High School. The Academic Resource Center Assistant reports to the Academic Resource Program Director. 


  • Strong Language Art skills including experience in teaching writing on the high school level
  • Ability to work with students who have varied learning styles/differences
  • Ability to work with educational technology (Audio Books, Livescribe pens) and ability to train students to use technology
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Willingness to multi-task
  • Valid California Teaching Credential (preferred)

Performance Responsibilities

  • Support and tutor students in all academic subjects  primarily in English and history. knowledge of Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work one-on-one or in small groups
  • Help maintain the adaptive technology including specialized software for students with learning differences 
  • Assist the ARC Director and ARC Assistant Director in other aspects of the ARC program
