Kevin Callagy '19 Earns Chapman University's Provost Scholarship

Recent graduate Kevin Callagy '19 will attend Chapman University next year after also considering acceptances from Santa Clara and Boston University. Callagy, a St. Gregory (San Mateo) graduate, is an excellent student who earned Chapman's Provost Scholarship—worth $100,000 over four years. He is looking to double major in business administration and either political science or psychology.

Callagy's dream is to attend law school, and he felt that attending Chapman would give him every opportunity to reach that goal. Besides boasting a beautiful campus in Orange County, Chapman is also the university of choice for his brother, Ryan '16, and sister, Brianna (NDB '17), who are both upperclassmen there.

Callagy received a perfect score of 800 on his SAT Math section, helping him earn a total score of 1490. That score put him in the 98th percentile nationwide. Beyond the classroom, Callagy was a member of the National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation and the Block Society. He played golf for four years and was a member of the varsity team this past spring. He also received a leadership award at the Senior Awards Ceremony and was an assistant coach for Foster City Little League.

We are proud of Callagy's accomplishments at Serra and we wish him well at Chapman University next year.
