Twenty-two members of the Serra community shared their holiday spirit by sorting and boxing food on Tuesday night at Second Harvest Food Bank.
Second Harvest of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties is committed to doing whatever it takes to build a hunger-free community. That means distributing nutritious food to nearly every neighborhood in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties, leveraging every available food resource, and collaborating with organizations and people who share our belief that hunger is unacceptable. The Padres volunteered at the Bing Center in San Carlos.
"Our students showed great spirit and enthusiasm during their evening at Second Harvest Food Bank," said Serra math teacher Randy Vogel, who supervised the boys with Serra Admissions Director Sandy Brook. "They realized how many families in our local community they will impact by giving their time and talent."
