Serra senior Rami Muhawieh will attend UC Davis next year after also considering UC San Diego. Rami, a St. Robert's (San Bruno) graduate, is an excellent student who plans to study either applied mathematics or computer science as an undergraduate. Currently enrolled in AP Physics and AP English, Rami has been a fixture on the Principal's List throughout his high school career.
At Serra, Rami was a transcendent player on the soccer pitch. This past season, he was named First Team All-League and the Blanket Award Winner for the Padres. He is also a Trivia Club captain and a member of the Ultimate Frisbee Club. In his free time, he volunteers with the Humane Society in Burlingame; walking dogs and playing with them to better their socialization skills.
"My four years at Serra gave me more than just a great education," Rami said. "Along the journey, I made countless memories and lifelong friends. I now understand the true meaning behind the Padre brotherhood. I am truly grateful for all the experiences I've had at Serra, including all of the enriching teachers that challenged me, the opportunity to be an athlete on the soccer field, and to learn life lessons about faith, hard work, and dedication. I came to Serra as a shy freshman, but I'm leaving with a greater sense of confidence and ready for my college experience."
We are proud of Rami's accomplishments at Serra and we are grateful for his service to our school. We wish him well at UC Davis next year.
