Clubs
Getting involved in Serra's clubs is a great way to jump into your Padre experience in the fall. There will be dozens to choose from, and you can browse the current list of club options here. In the fall, we'll have a "Club Showcase," where you can meet representatives from all the clubs and figure out what's right for you.
In the meantime, if you are curious about two of our most popular clubs, Mock Trial or Robotics, sign up for a one-week summer enrichment program and get a taste of what they have to offer. Both "Camp Courtroom" and "Robot Builders" are taught by the Serra Robotics and Mock Trial coaches and you'll have a blast building robots or participating in a criminal trial.
Athletics
General Questions - Justin Ferdinand
- Summer athletics information can be found on our Summer at Serra page under Summer Athletics Programs. If you are interested in participating in cross country, football or water polo, please complete the "interest form" at the top of the Summer Athletics Programs section.
- The contact list of the head coaches of each program can be found on our athletics website. Students are encouraged to reach out to the head coach of the programs that they are interested in or have questions about.
- Our Athletic Clearance Process will open on May 15, 2026 for the 2026-27 school year. CIF requires that all athletes trying out and participating in a sport have a current physical on file with the school. Physicals are good for one calendar year.
- Athletes are required to upload their physical exam form to the Athletic Clearance website. Please be sure to select the correct school year (2026-2027) and select Junípero Serra/San Mateo as the school. Next, create an account and complete all the steps by June 30. All physical forms must be signed by a doctor and can be either uploaded to your online account or emailed to Athletics Director Justin Ferdinand. All athletes who are participating in summer training need to complete this process before they begin working out.
