Our Padre Previews offer a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of the Serra community.
With your application submitted and the HSPT test behind you, it’s time to fully explore the details of everything Serra has to offer. We have designed Padre Previews for Applicants to be in-depth programs on specific topics of interest to applicants and their families.
Please register and join us to learn about the opportunities that will be available when your son becomes a Serra Padre. Applicants and their parents are invited to attend.

Honors and AP Opportunities
February 2, 2023
This Padre Preview for Applicants will showcase the breadth of Serra’s honors and advanced placement classes and illustrate the academic paths available to students. While some freshmen arrive ready to take a full load of honors classes, others ease into an advanced curriculum. Serra offers opportunities for each student to challenge and test himself with courses that are appropriate for his level. Our goal is for every student to reach his full potential and we have outstanding teachers in every academic area to make that a reality.
This event will be held at a Serra family’s home in San Mateo from 6 to 8 p.m. on February 2. Please register in advance, space is limited.

This online webinar will focus on transportation solutions for students going to and from Serra.
Serra is ideally located on the Mid-Peninsula and our students come from more than 100 different middle schools in the Bay Area.
Whether you are coming from the north, south, east or west, there are a variety of options to navigate your way to campus. Join this webinar to learn about public transportation, Serra shuttle and neighborhood carpool options.

Academic Pathways
February 23, 2023
This Padre Preview for Applicants will introduce you to the academic focus areas Serra offers to students interested in engineering, pre-health, communications and business.
Working together with their counselors, students can choose to concentrate on a series of courses and extracurricular activities that offer in depth opportunities to explore subject areas of interest.
At this event, we will show you how our academic pathways work and talk about how Padres have used these pathways to shape their decisions about college and major selection.
