Padre for a Day

Wondering what your high school experience will be like?

Immersing yourself in Padre life by participating in a Padre for a Day virtual visit is an important step in determining if Serra is the right community for you.

Join us and interact with current Padres about campus life and distance life. Tour the campus virtually, drop in on live classes (hybrid schedule), or view engaging lessons (distance schedule) that provide insight into the connection between Serra students and teachers.

Learn about elements of Padre life, including clubs, social events, visual and performing arts, campus ministry, the Academic Resource Center and athletics. Plus, participate in question and answer sessions about your future Padre experience.

Padre for a Day virtual experiences are reserved for eighth-grade students only. Visit Ravenna to sign up.

Community Connections

We invite parents into this more intimate setting of exploration.

Serra President Barry Thornton, Ed.D. or Principal Charlie McGrath, M.Ed. will discuss in this one hour virtual visit the value of a Serra education and address your questions. Current parents are encouraged to join the conversation to share their stories and also answer any questions that you may have.

Visit Ravenna to sign up.

Padre Admissions Chats

Join Serra's Director of Admissions, Julie Behn, in an open discussion about what to expect when applying to Serra.

In these intimate gatherings, you will have the opportunity to learn about the application and admissions process, discover what qualities Serra looks for in a student when determining acceptance, and get answers to specific questions that you may have.

Visit Ravenna to sign up.

Serra Teacher Meetups

Extend your Padre for a Day virtual experience by attending one of our virtual Serra Teacher Meetups.

Small groups of prospective students will have the opportunity to interact virtually with Serra teachers from different academic departments.

Experience first hand what current Serra Padres already know-- that Serra teachers are funny, engaging, caring and down to earth.

These informal, intimate gatherings will allow you to speak with current Serra teachers, participate in department specific activities, ask questions and connect with the Padre community.

Serra Teacher Meetups are reserved for eighth-grade students only. Visit Ravenna to sign up.

The Serra Shadow Program does a very good job of conveying the Padre lifestyle. I was included in conversation, engaged in classes and was treated like a true Padre brother.

Now, as a shadow host, I have an opportunity to show off the school that I will forever be a part of while encouraging new students to join us.
