History of the Serra Golf Classic

The Serra Golf Classic, which was established in 1987, is run by the Alumni Association. Each year during the month of June, 144 golfers (sometimes more) gather at Peninsula Golf and Country Club to battle for the much coveted tournament championship.

The tournament, however, is about much more than winning a trophy. It is about the camaraderie that marks the Junípero Serra High School community. Whether you are an alumnus, a current or alumni parent, or friend of Serra, the Serra Golf Classic, and the dinner that follows, is a great day.

The Serra Golf Classic is the primary funding source for the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. It provides vital financial assistance to deserving young men who seek a Serra education. Your involvement in and support of the Serra Golf Classic as a sponsor, player, or donor helps us meet the growing needs of our families.
