Exciting News for Serra High School Football! 

Serra High School has achieved a significant milestone in its storied football history by being named a Nike Elite Football Program. This prestigious recognition places Serra among an exclusive group of high school football programs nationwide that exemplify excellence on and off the field.

The Nike Elite Football Program honors schools that have demonstrated outstanding performance, commitment to athlete development and a strong sense of community. As a Nike Elite school, Serra High will now have access to premier Nike gear, apparel, and resources designed to enhance the team's performance and foster a winning culture.

Serra’s Head Varsity Coach Patrick Walsh expressed his pride in the program’s accomplishment.

This is an exclusive brotherhood designated for only the nation's best players and Serra’s designation as a part of Nike Elite program is a unique selection specifically for sponsored high schools. Nike Elite Teams are on the brand's highest level and we are proud to be a part of the Nike family."

Serra High School’s football program has long been a powerhouse in the region, with a history of championships and producing top-tier collegiate and professional athletes. The partnership with Nike is expected to further elevate the program’s status, providing the team with the tools and support needed to continue its legacy of excellence.

Athletics Director Justin Ferdinand highlighted the broader impact of this recognition, stating, “by partnering with Nike, our high school isn't just adding a sponsor—it's stepping into a future where excellence in sports and education go hand in hand."

Ferdinand added that this sponsorship extends beyond the sport of football. 

We have also entered into an all-school agreement with Nike that provides sponsorship opportunities for all of our sports,” he said. This means all sports are represented by the Nike brand. 

As Serra embarks on this new chapter as a Nike Elite Football Program, the community looks forward to what the future holds for the Padres. With the backing of Nike, Serra will  continue its tradition of excellence and inspire the next generation of athletes.
