First Ever Win for the Serra Padres Over De La Salle Spartans

It was an amazing -- and first ever -- win for the Serra Padres against the De La Salle Spartans on September 2 at De La Salle. After rallying from 14 down in the fourth quarter, a field goal kick by Dylan Joudieh '23 in the final seconds of the game clinched the win for the Padres.

It was an amazing showing of tremendous athleticism and sportsmanship by two powerhouse Northern California teams.

The game, nationally televised on ESPN, provided viewers with four quarters of amazing football. Stands were packed as the teams battled it out on the field on a hot night in Concord.

A burst of effort and perseverance in the fourth quarter by the Padres secured the win.

This was the second preseason win on the road for the Padres. On August 26, the Padres beat the Folsom High School Bulldogs 17-12 at Folsom. The final score for the game against De La Salle was 24-21.
