Padres Crew Team First Race on Sunday, October 9

The Padres Crew Team will compete in its first race this Sunday, October 9 at the Port of Sacramento from 8:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The boats that will be racing include the Youth 8, U17 8, Novice 8 and a Youth 1x.

The crew team had a fantastic 2021-22 season. Highlights include:

• Nine Regattas, including the Covered Bridge regatta in Oregon
• Fun, in-person end-of-season banquet at the Elks Club - its first in two years!
• Two-page article in the latest Traditions, Serra's alumni magazine
• Qualified and raced at Scholastic Nationals in New Jersey (2 boats) and Youth Nationals in FL (1 boat)

Head Coach Mike Verdone, Coach Dan McDonnell and Coach Taylor Collins are leading the team again and are excited for the new season with the first race this weekend.
