Serra Padres Are CCS Division 1 Champions

The Serra Padres faced off against the St. Francis Lancers for the second time in 20 days on November 26 and beat the Lancers 16-12 Friday Night.

The game was interrupted in the fourth quarter with three minutes left to play when shots heard outside the CCS Division 1 championship game at Westmont High School in Campbell. The game was paused while police investigated. People inside the stadium were safe and police continue to investigate. Police advised that it was safe to resume play with two minutes left in the game.

Prior to Friday's game, Serra beat Bellarmine in a shutout at home on November 20 with a score of 41-0, which allowed the Padres to march on to the Division 1 Central Coast Conference Championship game, scheduled for November 26.

On November 6, the Padres were crushed by the Lancers in a 44-21 game that cost the Padres the WCAL title. On Friday, the two top WCAL teams will fight for the CCS's top prize at Westmont High School in Campbell.
