Hats off to Danta Nogara, who is off to Chico State University this fall to focus his studies on construction management.
A varsity swimmer, diver and water polo player, Dante was also a member of the Bicycle Club, Trivia Club, Business Club and Chess Club.
Dante has collected many treasured memories at Serra, one of his favorites, he said, was, “freshmen year when Parker McDonald hit the buzzer-beater, game-winning shot at the Jungle Game against ‘The Cherries.’” His favorite Serra tradition four years later remains the popular Jungle Game.
Dante said that the “brotherhood and the discipline that Serra has instilled in students,” is something that has shaped him into the man that he is today.
Teachers, such as Mr. Kearns, made learning fun. “He is passionate and engaging with his students.”
He is also grateful for his parents, whose sacrifices have meant so much to him.
“The laughs and memories I have shared with my peers these four years at Serra is something I will never forget, so thank you, Mom and Dad.”
His parting words are familiar to Padres around the world: “Once a Padre, Always a Padre.”
Best of luck to you, Dante! Chico is lucky to have you!
