Jack Allen is off to Sonoma State University this fall to study Kinesiology.
A certified lifeguard and swim instructor who is also certified in CPR, Jack said he is excited to continue to study sports medicine in college and hopefully will be working for a Bay Area sports team in the next decade.
Jack said his time at Serra provided him with wonderful life skill perspectives. It gave him “a better understanding of how the world works, from learning in school and in the real world, as well as owning a vehicle, getting a job, and traveling.” He will never forget the friends he made at Serra and the memories they made.
Dr. Meegan had a particular impact on Jack in freshman and senior year theology, as “he was always happy and excited to teach class for us. He would not move on from a topic until every person developed a good understanding of it.”
Jack played water polo as a freshman, lacrosse freshman through junior year and was a member of the sports medicine and ultimate frisbee clubs his senior year.
If he could change one rule at Serra it would be the shaving rule, maybe that’s why Jack’s life in a hashtag would be #FearTheBeard.
To his supportive family, Jack said, “Thank you for the constant love and support. Knowing someone is loving me and helping me in any way possible is the most relieving thing in the world, and I can't express how much it means to me.”
Best of luck to you, Jack! Congratulations on your many achievements!
