Congratulations to Luis Bautista, who is off to Pima Community College in the fall to begin studies in graphic design.
Luis played soccer, track and football during his time at Serra and said that the many experiences he had at Serra have shaped him into the man he is today.
“Everyday at Serra, I had a different experience that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to experience and been a part of. It helped grow me into the man I am today,” he said.
Among the many traditions at Serra, Luis said it is the Jungle Game Rally that sticks out in his mind as his favorite. He said he will also always remember the time the football team beat Pittsburg High School.
Luis is grateful to his mom for all the sacrifices she has made for him and his brother and said that she’s “the real MVP.”
“I want to thank my Mom for all the sacrifices that she has made for me. All the times she put my brother and my needs before hers…” He added, “You always provided for us and showed us unconditional love. I love you Mom.”
All the best to you Luis! Congratulations on your graduation and best of luck in college!
