Congratulations to Luke Trembley ‘20, who has been accepted to his dream school, UC Santa Barbara, where he hopes to study Applied Mathematics.
“My greatest accomplishment to date is getting into my first choice college, UC Santa Barbara,” Luke said. “It took a lot of hard work throughout the years to accomplish.”
At Serra, Luke stayed active, as a freshman basketball manager, freshman baseball player, JV baseball manager sophomore year, and varsity baseball manager during his junior and senior year. He was also a big brother junior year and Encounter leader senior year.
His favorite quote is one by Jackson Brown Jr. that states, "Life doesn't require that we be the best, only that we try our best,” something that Luke has done since his days as an elementary student at St. Charles in San Carlos.
Luke said he is the man he is today largely because of the influence of his Serra Brotherhood. “The Serra brotherhood has taught me selflessness and to stand up for others,” Luke said. “I plan to take these values that I've learned and the friends I have made with me in the future.”
Both positive and grateful, Luke said he is very thankful to his family. “I would like to say thank you for allowing me to be myself. I have never been forced to be something I'm not and I think that is why I turned into the man I am today.”
Best of luck at UC Santa Barbara, Luke!
