Mateo Cagle ‘20 is headed to the University of Oregon this fall, in hopes of studying sports business. It could have been Mateo’s time as a baseball manager at Serra that piqued his interest in the sports business field. Mateo said that getting into his dream college in Eugene, Oregon is one his proudest accomplishments.
As he prepares to leave Serra, Mateo said he will remember the Padre brotherhood most from his four years at Serra. “Serra has taught me how to respect and be kind to others,” he said. Mateo is an encounter leader at Serra as well. His time at Serra was full of fun and he is grateful to those who supported him during his high school journey.
“To my parents, thank you for guiding me to make the right decisions; and to my friends, thanks for making high school fun,” he said.
In 10 years, you can find Mateo “living the dream,” he said. U of O is lucky to have Mateo. Congratulations, Mateo! Go Ducks!
