Michael Sarhatt will always remember the bus rides to baseball games and the student section of Serra sporting events when he reflects on his days at Serra.
Michael played four years of baseball, and was involved in Campus Ministry as an executive officer, Encounter member and a Kairos leader. He was also the co-president of the Trivia Club senior year.
Graduating as a Padre is one of Michael’s greatest accomplishments.
“Serra showed me the support I need and the support I have during tough times,” Michael said.
He will always remember Mr. Carey and Dr. Buckels. “I learned great study habits in AP U.S. History, and Dr. Buckels is one of my role models,” Michael said.
Michael will begin his college career at Skyline Junior College, but he’s not sure what he plans to major in in college. In 10 years, he hopes to return to Serra as a baseball coach.
Michael is grateful to his family for all their support.
“Thank you for allowing me to be a Padre. You sacrificed so much for me to be where I am today,” he said.
Congratulations, Michael! All the best in your future endeavors!
