Nate Sanchez

Nate Sanchez is one of the most versatile players in Serra football history. The WCAL, CCS and Nor Cal champ did it all on the field.

As a senior he scored nine touchdowns rushing, nine passing, one on an interception return and threw a 65 yard pass for a TD in the state title game. Sanchez, a defensive back and running back/receiver was named 2019 WCAL Utility Player of the Year.  His season stats were equally impressive with 114 points scored.  Over his career, he had 30 touchdowns scored, 70 passes caught and 1,025 yards gained receiving.

As a sophomore, Sanchez was a member of the CCS winning 4x400 relay team and as a junior he was part of the 4x400 meter relay that won the WCAL championship.

Nate Sanchez is off to College of San Mateo in the fall. A true Padre, Nate said his experience at Serra has been incredible, from his memories on the field to the brotherhood he experienced in the halls.

“A tradition that I will always remember will be the brotherhood that is very true at Serra and makes people not just friends but family,” he said.

Nate said he will always value Serra for broadening his horizons and for relationships he has with the people he has met during his years there.
