Nusi Malani was a co-captain for the 2019 WCAL, CCS and Nor-CAL championship Padre football team. Not only was the defensive stalwart a team leader and a dynamic presence on the field of play but he could fill a highlight reel all by himself. 

In addition to being named the WCAL Defensive Lineman of the Year for the 2019 season and First Team All-WCAL, he was selected to the San Francisco Chronicle’s All-Metro First team and received Athlete of the Week honors from the San Mateo Daily Journal. He also was named the Bay Area Prep HQ’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Nusi was one of 11 student athletes who committed to play football for Virginia on signing day.
