For Taigen Irigoyen, Serra provided him with a safe spot to express himself. Maybe that’s why he has already published three books online since junior year. A musician and a writer, Taigen stayed very busy during his high school years.
“Serra exposed me to a lot of neat people and gave me a comfortable place where I felt like I could express myself,” he said.
President of the Creative Writing Club, Taigen was also a member of the video game and film clubs. He was in the jazz, symphonic, and pep band member, and trumpet section leader. Taigen was a big brother, Encounter member and Senior Class VPA Commissioner. While not an official member of the Broadcasting Club, Taigen used their YouTube Channel to upload his Podcast.
Taigen said he was really into his theology classes.
“I never had a lot of difficulty in them, but they were the most interesting and I think they flexed a different mental muscle than other classes,” he said. He said that Mr. Taylor and Dr. Buckels made these classes very enjoyable.
Taigen thanks his dad for being an alumnus and giving him the opportunity to attend Serra also.
Keep creating, Taigen, and all the best in your future!
