Victor Lopatyuk is headed to Cal Poly this fall, where he plans to study business, and said he is thankful for his time at Serra because it helped him to set his sights on the future. In 10 years, he hopes to be “hopefully in a position with lots of upward mobility.”
A member of the crew team all four years, Victor was also a founding member of the Science Club, member of the Block Society and the National Honors Society all four years. He took an immersion trip to Puerto Rico his sophomore year.
Victor said, “I will always remember the moments of brotherhood between me and the rest of my team as our boats pushed through the finish line first.”
He will also remember the rally events Serra holds and also his time in class with Mr. Grosey. “His way of making sure everyone understood everything about the topic at hand was one of the best examples of teaching I have run across in my life,” Victor said.

Congratulations, Victor! Best of luck at Cal Poly and beyond!
