Xavier Shaw

Family and friends mean a lot to Xavier Shaw ‘20. He attributes the last four years at Serra to opening his eyes to the people around him. From sports to classes, Xavier said that his high school years have shown him true friends and the value of family.

“To my family, I’m so grateful to have them in my life,” Xavier said. “Through the immense support and courage shown to me from them I was able to achieve my dreams at Serra. Through them I find my true and kind self as they have taught me to be.”

Xavier played four water polo all four years at Serra, and was on the swim team as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was on the Encounter Team senior year.

A quote that guides him is, “To be able to do something great in your life, you're gonna have to realize your failures,” he said.  “You're gonna have to embrace them and figure out how to overcome it.

Xavier will head to the College of San Mateo in the fall to begin studying physical therapy.

Congratulations, Xavier!
