All volunteers are required to be fingerprinted. This step must be completed three weeks prior to your first volunteer event.

• Download and complete the LiveScan Form.
   
• Bring the Live Scan Form to a UPS Store.
  • You are welcome to visit any UPS Store that offers fingerprinting services. Serra has set up an account at a local UPS store. To identify which UPS store Serra has an account with, please log in to the homepage of your PCR Parent Portal.
     
  • If you go to another UPS location, you will need to pay out of pocket. If you wish to be reimbursed for fingerprinting, please email a copy of your complete Livescan and full receipt from UPS here.

Once you have completed your Virtus training and fingerprinting, please download this parent volunteer contract and return the signed copy to volunteer@serrahs.com.

It's Time to Sign UP

Serra uses SignupGenius to organize volunteer opportunities. To sign up to volunteer, you will need to create a SignupGenius account and navigate to Serra's volunteer opportunities via SignupGenius. 

. Below are helpful tips to navigate the platform:

• Desktop Version: Events are grouped into tabs. Review each tab to explore opportunities and select the events where you’d like to volunteer.

• Mobile Version: Use the drop-down menu at the top of the page to select a volunteer area—Admissions, Advancement, or Student Life, etc.—then click Go to view the events available in that area.

Unfortunately, our sister schools complete their own fingerprinting and Virtus training separately. Serra does not have access to either Mercy or Notre Dame's fingerprints or online training. You will need to complete both fingerprinting and Virtus training again for Serra. 

No. If you have already volunteered and completed these requirements at another Archdiocese of San Francisco school, please log in to your VIRTUS account and add “Junípero Serra High School” as a preferred volunteer location. This will allow Serra to view your account and confirm that everything is up to date.

If you are unsure whether your previous school is part of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, please check the Archdiocese’s list of schools to verify.
