Dear Serra Supporters,
We are committed to Keeping the Dream Alive for any qualified student who dreams of a Serra college preparatory education. This year, with a rising need for tuition assistance, we are focused on raising the funds necessary to educate these talented future leaders.
Each year since 2005, our Fund a Dream Scholarship Benefit has helped raise the additional funds necessary to ensure that all qualified applicants who dream of becoming a Serra Padre are afforded that opportunity. Since its inception, Serra's Fund a Dream event has raised more than $5 million.
Fund a Dream is a dynamic event that unites Serra’s alumni, current and past parents, and friends of Serra to celebrate the school’s proud history and exciting future. Normally, this evening dinner social event is held during the spring semester and is a fun-filled evening where keynote speakers have captivated the community with stories about their high school days, career highlights and philanthropic endeavors.
Due to the pandemic, the 2020 Fund a Dream had to be moved from a physical event to a virtual one. The change in platform did not stifle the giving. We raised more than $450,000 at the 2019 virtual event. All proceeds from this annual event, generated by donations, cash gifts, table and event sponsorships, support the Tuition Assistance Program.
As we prepare for our Virtual Fund a Dream event on Saturday, February 27, we ask that you consider purchasing a virtual table to help us meet our fundraising goal of $500,000. This will allow us to continue to offer the dream of a Serra education to those who desire to be Padres.
With your help, we can make a young man's dream of a Serra education come true!
