This year’s Fund a Dream will feature a powerful story of impact and gratitude from Serra alumnus David Bakhtiari ’09. As a Serra student, David was given the time, support, and opportunity to discover who he was meant to become—on his own timeline. That foundation helped propel him to an extraordinary football career spanning 11 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, where he became a three-time NFL Pro Bowler and a cornerstone of the offensive line protecting future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

David’s journey is a testament to the life-changing power of access and opportunity. From the halls of Serra to the biggest stage in professional sports, David’s story embodies the very mission of Fund a Dream. We are honored to welcome David back to campus to share how Serra helped shape his path—and how giving back ensures those same opportunities for future Padres.
