History of the Serra Golf Classic

The Serra Golf Classic is one of the school's most popular annual events. Organized by the Junípero Serra Alumni Association since 1987, roughly 140 alumni and friends of Serra gather each year to play 18 holes and battle for the coveted tournament championship. This year's tournament was held on Thursday, September 15 at the famed TPC Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco, home to the 2020 PGA Championship.

The tournament is about much more than winning a trophy. It is about the camaraderie that marks the Serra High School community. Whether you are an alumnus, a current or alumni parent, or friend of Serra, the Serra Golf Classic is a great way to stay connected and reconnect with friends and classmates.

The Serra Golf Classic is the primary funding source for the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund and provides vital financial assistance to deserving young men who seek a Serra education. Your participation and support of the Serra Golf Classic as a sponsor, player, or donor helps us meet the growing needs of our families. Last year, the tournament raised nearly $40,000 -- providing many young men the opportunity to be Padres.

Come join us and bring your friends for a day of golf, Padre camaraderie and support another Padre in their dream of attending Serra High School.

Information on next year's tournament will be updated when available.
